Are you camping with us and want to stay mobile without needing to take out your car?
Carvelo, the electric cargo bike from TCS, gives you perfect flexibility when you want to get out and about. Whether you’re heading to the shops in the nearest village, going out with the family or transporting luggage, just book your Carvelo right at the campsite – it’s easy, cheap and sustainable.
Carvelo is provided by the TCS Mobility Academy and Touring Club Switzerland. You can use the sharing platform to rent electric cargo bikes (‘Carvelos’) in just a few steps – including at several TCS campsites in Switzerland.
What is a Carvelo?
- Carvelos are modern, electrically assisted cargo bikes.
- They are ideal for transporting goods (up to 100 kg) or two children.
- You can book the bikes by the hour or by the day and they are available from local hosts.
- There are more than 400 Carvelos in more than 100 cities and municipalities across Switzerland.

How it works
- Download the app and register: App Store / Google Play Store
- Add your TCS membership: Enter your TCS member number when you log in and automatically benefit from discounted prices.
- Book a Carvelo: Choose an available cargo bike and book it by the hour or by the day.
- Pick it up and hit the road: Pick up your Carvelo from your chosen location and set off right away.
- Return: Take your Carvelo back to the pick-up location at the end of the rental period.
Prices & discounts
Our prices are affordable and transparent:
- Basic fee: CHF 5 per booking
- Hourly rate: CHF 4.50 per hour
